Anime nexpo yearxpo

Well I completely and totally failed to get into the expo this year. I is my fault, my weak attempts gaining access were no match I figure. I knew It was going to be a down to the wire decision but I was confident that I would be able to attend. A super bum bummer but I did manage to snag some pictures that Ill through up during the article that will plain obviously, me bitching and complaining about all the stuff I missed.

As I watch from my apartment, all walks of Life from the full spectrum of anime fandom and community. Fans with T-shirts on, proudly display a subtle quip or ablatant title from one their most beloved shows. People with functional Cos play on, you know , jeans and a shirt but maybe the clothes are the same scheme as a character and they may brandish a replica of that characters weapon. Then you have the legit cos-play attendees, people that just bought tickets to the expo like most, but goes beyond detail or expense when it comes to their Cos Play.

I search the series of tubes formerly known as the internet for two straight days looking for someone willing to sell me a badge for a reason price and not using my own demand against me. I searched and I searched (craiglist and reddit)  to no avail. getting close on Saturday but not able to leave work soon enough to procure my badge. I knew there was a possibility of this happening if I did not register for the expo soon enough but not 2017, registering right now as a attendee just in case I can not get a press badge, time will tell.

I think the coverage will have to rely on other sources that I can redirect you to like my Co-host YouTube page, it is just his name Quinton Weston. We also are releasing a podcast wrapping up his attendance and covering panels and things that hegot to experience. So stay tuned we may not have the most extensive coverage this year but, we are getting it together. The best coverage would be to fly or drive or walk your ass out here to southern California and attend the expo.

Anime expo is on, not for me yet, but, man Im excited about! *howard dean scream

This is usually the best time to read my blogs for anime because of the anime expo

So excited t write and report what all I see this year at the anime expo, last year it was my first year at the expo and honestly, I only went on one of the days of the 4 day event that takes place literally across the street from my apartment. This year, since I am not getting press badges, again, I am pushing for two days which looks like it may be a go.

The Co host for strangeillustratedpodcast, will be attending all 4 days but getting him to write anything, post on the site is the equivalent of doing it with your mind, actually eventually, if you keep at it...

So I am on my own, for now, getting ready to delve into, no submerse myself into the anime world for a short time that exist at the L.A. convention center, then back to my version of reality. If I am so lucky I should be attending July the 3rd and 4th, full camera battery and energy drinks and probably some edible pot, yeah actually forget the other stuff, Ill just pay the co host to periscope it whist I sit in the apartment, surfing the edges of consciousness from the amount of pot I ingested, this is a plan. Knowing my luck he will forget to pull his phone out f his pocket or leave it on a table and someone else picks it up, now this guy not only stole a phone but is in control of the periscope feed.

This must not happen, I will attend the final two days of anime expo 2016. I will document said events, and post them amongst my many platforms for soapboxing and social mediating. I am anticipating the cos-play costumes, the booths of handmade anime related items, drawings and paintings. Looking, just looking at the different character models and figurines, the cost of these particular items usually are in the, "high pitch quick yelp" price range so I mostly do not engage in the entertaining the sales people with my fake ass interest in a purchase, amazing artwork and beautifully sculpted figures however, please do not get me wrong.

Well it is Saturday, and I have not got a badge yet, it is still early, hopefully I get the call by the end of the day today if not, the hunt is on for another. This is just an update post not really of any substance pertaining to the expo but I wanted to express my passions, my anime passions. I will see you all at the Anime expo Sunday and Monday hopefully and my next post should be fruitful with substance in the flavor of anime. So subscribe, stay tuned do what ever you do I will be back with more post throughout the site and stay close for anime expo coverage by strangeillustrated.com

Anime Expo 'se

anime expo ' se  wriiten by Vince Stephen

Anime expo is around the corner and the excitement is crazy in my mind brain, and with E3 wrapping up, let the adult games that don't involve outright blatant penetration begin. I say it like that 'cause come on, its a anime con and lets face its the ainme stereotypical statistical jackpot, theres going to be nerds, weirdo's kooks, the kinky, the last two sound like bands so shout out kooks and kinky, ( I think they play at the roxy this weekend). point is, some people get off on anime and I am here to say, that's okay.

They make it terribly difficult though, it is almost like they do not want you to get off why with the limited amount of panty shots and everybody is super pristine and beautiful. Have you ever watched anime and nothing specific but, one that has a person climbing out, from some building rubble, or being pull out, minimal scars, still beautiful, yeah, you'd fuck them, that's okay! because so would I. Anime is first and foremost probably one of the most creative outlets imaginable, limitless stories opportunities, and miles of possibilities. Writers and creators of anime are passionate and driven to

make these wonderful worlds come to life to help awaken the imagination inside us all. With all that said I would not be telling the truth or being honest with what anime also is. sexy as hell.

When anime expo rolls around come july 1, I and a shit ton of other people will be excited to see what the latest innovations and styles are in anime and Japanese anime culture ,I separated the two for a reason, for one Japanese anime culture is more of a location thing that I do not think you fully understand unless you are there living within it, whereas anime culture world wide has been diluted as a result of getting anime to the masses, and that's okay too. I love and respect every culture and I think for me that is one of the reason why I like conventions in Los Angeles because you see all walks of life, big, tall, young and old come together for something that we agree we all love and respect. Sexy.Thoughtful.Anime.

old and new blood::: the experiments

old and new blood is a short story I was writing but forgot about basically. I am uploading it here crowd sourcing reasons, if anybody wants to add to the story, you are more than welcome. Nothing is taboo, but nothing crazy offensive and if it makes sense or is a continuation of the original that is a plusy plus, well lets have shall we, enjoys.

OLD AND NEW BLOOD

Are we alone? The voice exclaimed

      "I think so" i answered.

You think so? What the fuck does that mean?.... You think so!"   The man said irritated at the grace in which I describe the integrity of the situations security. After all, it is a seemingly empty alley, right? As I light a cigarette at the corner where the alley and the street light compromised to create this ominous location that the cars coincidentally accelerate past by quicker than usual. That is what I picked up in the few minutes standing here encapsulated in the shadows, cars beading through the damp streets waiting for the man to stop questioning my vernacular so we can get this deal done.

I raise my eyebrows and stare in his eyes.

" I'm alone" I lower one eyebrow and looked at him questionably .

He looks at me like I punched him in the face or something .

"You're a little fucking asshole", he said as he turned his attention to the alley and down towards the opposite end then back.

      "Ok you got money ?!?"

He said unassured.

" of course" I said speeding the pace up due to the ominous factor stated before hand. He hands me what I came out there for. The thing that kept me in this dark alley for what seems like an eternality.  He fumbles through the black bag of money nervously as he looks around for any characters he deems suspicious.

" it's all hear, right?!? " he says as he looks around until are eyes meet.

 I pause.

"Yeah!" I said annoyed at the obvious questions as he rustles through the bag of money. He nods, looks around one more time then looks at me, as he smiles I know this is one of these moments in a life were you are tested. Tested by the friction of existence, the human wager.

I sometimes feel like I think with a heavy resistance in my mind. My thoughts are quick and grey. My hands and nerves steady even in the composition of this direction my life is enveloped in. As he pulls this shiny metal object from his front of his jacket with a smile on his face. I think that's what pissed me off the most, he did not have to kill me. We could have went our seperate ways, went and bought whores, did some blow whatever, you know. This fucker was getting a kick out of ending my life, he wanted to kill me.

Stimulated by destruction on this level, I'll never understand it from a person that has been through trials. This man clearly has been through trials in his life.

His arm started to raise in a slow melodically fashion. I like to admire the determination of the human execution, when a person is really set on doing something and expects to finish. I could tell by the look in his eye as he swung his arm towards me that he had this planned out. The intention was read from the stillness of his eyes, the muscle around his eyes clutching his tortured observations. The whites of his eyes are red with old and new blood. You can tell it is not from the stress of killing me, there is a softness about them, his eyes. A complacent quality about them, like he has done this before, like he has done this before and I am not worth getting excited for.

He is quick I suppose, at least quicker than most before him, just like the one before he won't stop until one of us is dead. His right arm a raises, I take hold of it with my extended  left arm. I could immediately tell that he knew he was in trouble, two rounds fire out from the shiny metal in in his right hand out of shear terror.

He is reaching with his left arm towards my face with another object, another shiny object but it is sharp this time. I pull his right arm with my extended left arm with the same force as, let's say a horse would pull an empty bucket. His body, not being able to leverage the force
I generated, accelerated through air and out of the alley across the damp dark street nearly colliding with the the steel no parking sign on the other side of the road from the alley. It was only a half a click of a clock before his head crashed to the ground after his feet. Blood erupted from his head and face, his body grasping for reminence of life, twitched in error, in the darkness.

I watched him fall to the ground across the street, I grabbed the package and picked the money up off the ground and left. For a second, I could not remember what I came there for.

Then I remembered Angela, I met her at a truck stop on the way to Las Vegas. She was at one of those truck stops when I seen her that have a McDonald's and a gift shop and shit inside. She was buying cigarettes from a small store across from the food court. I noticed the length of her hair first. It traveled down her shoulders and arms, passed her neck and the tail of herspine , as it glowed gold through any spectrum of decent light. Her nose was pointed and strong, she got her fathers nose I assume or her mom got her fathers nose. Her front teeth showed through her slightly opened lips , she takes a breathe, bats her big eyes leading to my direction as she turns her head.

" Going to Vegas?" I stubbled through, even in this state girls still make me tingled all over when I meet them. I could tell she had a story. The visible part of her neck and chest where covered in tattoos. I see characters within the tattoos, but nothing that I can make out without focusing all my attention on her cleavage and making an educated guess as to what the covered part of the tattoo looks like. The only thing I can say for certain is the artist was very good.

She looks me up and down.
" ...maybe..."
She smiles and says as she grabs her cigarettes and walks off. Her cut off shorts showcase her legs especially when she walks away. The indention, a feature of definition within a structurally sound aesthetically pleasing part if the body, was in her case unforgiving upon walking away. She gave on last look before she smiled and walked out the door.

I kept thinking to myself should I follow her out? Is that ok creepy? But it is a public place, well I guess if she gives me the " get away asscreep" I'll consider other options for companionship.

Dont Worry I Wont Spoil One Of The Best Anime (Live Action) Movie Ever (even though its beenout for like, ever!

I may be understating this, solid , solid fact. Great story, good to great scenes, good to great writing overall solid movie.  The character portrayals are were so good when it was over you wanted to watched the next episode to see what hijinks Lupin was getting into next. At a little over two hours it is a ton of movie with the Lupin the Third feel and if your like me, you wanted to see them steal shit before the whole main plot point start and you want to see what they did with the tension between Fujiko and Lupin, and the cunning was at ten.

Now Don't worry like I said in the title will not give away the story while explaining why I loved it so much. The movie starts out mid suspense, mid thievery, as you get a glimpse the feature  characters in the anime. It should have come to no surprise that there is conflict brewing and the gang have to react. The action is amazing and as the stylish thieves punch there way through there issues in hopes to bandage there mental wounds. (Have I given too much away?)

Some of the dialogue or writing was fitting, understandably though, some not custom to films outside of the huge American market, might find it a bit cheesy, but I love it and I challenge you, go the entire day without saying something cheesy, I dare you, challenge accepted? With that said some of the writing at no fault of the actors was a little meh, Maybe for English dubbed, suitable translation, yada, yada, I get it, okay, I still loved the movie.

So basically look, Badass movie, Goemon is fantastic, Lupin is dressed well, and Fugiko, well Fugiko is so amazing both to look at and in her role. I don't think you will be disappointed giving this one a shot, if it is not in your collection already and this is just pander to your panda. ....? Okay I am done go watch the fucking movle!!!!

lupin the third live action movie or Yeah its been out for a minute, I am still excited to see it

No I haven't watched it yet, I have been lurking, which is my new favorite word in context to 'shopping for' or observing for a long period of time, on the concept for a couple of days. I am a admitted casual fan of LT3. I say casual because I have not watched Lupin the Third since the peak of the cartoon network adult swim days, around about 2004 to the 2007 area maybe longer, I would have to refresh my memory on the particular fact but it has been at least 5 strong years. I never bought any of the DVD stuff or show related items or bother to stream or find streams of the show online. I am a casual fan of Lupin the Third, but I know a lot of you can relate and a lot of are as excited as me for this movie.

Look this is the trailer for the movie it came out in mid 2014, I am not sure what the box office of the budget of the film was but I am intrigued to find out and post about it later when I blog about the review of the film. which I think I'm going to watch it tonight but possibly tomorrow, I got options. I am trying to keep these short and to the fucking point I know time is precious.

The anime expo 2015 in Los Angeles

vince Stephen

july 6 2015

Well, What can I say? It was spectacular for two main reason which I will elaborate through the blog. One, I only got to go for a few hours, just that small amount of time was worth every bit of the $30 I paid for my pass. Two, It was huge! So many things to see, so many panels and conferences. I did not want to waste the only time I would get to go this ear standing in line, no, I wanted to look around. I wanted to buy shit! The fate of arriving to a convention to late.

When I walked in from the Pico Bl and Figueroa street I was immediately bombarded with yummy anime goodness. Even though I could not guess all the characters I saw, the impressive cosplay costumes I think for me stole the  show being that this is my first con, for anything. The elaborate costumes and artistry and time it takes put a great deal of the outfits together is as impressive as most of them looked. I recognized so characters like Inuyahsa, The Attack on Titan characters and the dragon ball Z characters. I was unable to locate or at least identify cosplayers dressing like characters from animes that I have recently discovered and enjoy.

Like I said, I was only there for one day, and few hours at that! I took a few pictures but I wanted to keep moving through the convention center to see as much as possible. I went up stairs to the exhibition hall where they were selling and showcasing anime and novelty items. In the back of the exhibition hall was an area called Artist Alley. In the Artist Alley there were Artist selling there drawings, posters and clothing and more. The center of the exhibition hall was the big anime brand tables and novelty character booths. Just imagine trade show on LSD with awesome lights. As soon as I got a chance to start looking around in the exhibition hall, an announcement over the loud speaker alerted that the hall will be closing in 20 minutes. God Dammit! Well, it will give me time to go to the west part of the convention center and find out what's going on over there.

On the other ide of the convention center was the gaming hall, I forgot exactly what it was called but that is primarily what was taking place in there. The hall was filled with stations with computers and I assume PlayStation 4s and XBOX ONEs VR machines and not to mention arcade games that were obviously inaccessible due to people hogging them or there just not being enough arcade games in the hall. Every station, filled, every arcade game, claimed, so I just walked through and looked to see if there was anything worth sticking around for beside the off chance of someone collapsing from one of the consoles or arcade games and I sneak up and take there spot.

Wait a second, ON the other side of this giant black section curtain, thing, is a cosplay scene area where you can take pictures wit your cosplay gear on , fucking awesome. I have no cosplay costume but this is an opportunity to take pictures again! I took a few pictures and moved on. Where to go now, I have been here for a couple hours at this point. I go to one of the conference doors to see what panels are about to start, all the lines are so long so, see ya! I head back over to the where I started and take a few more pictures and wish that the exhibition hall was opened, the I made my exit.

Next year I hope to get a Press badge for the event next year so Strange ills has more extensive coverage of the event. I enjoyed he very small amount of time I was there and look forward to going back. Maybe I will in some cosplay gear, tights and spandex, mask and nipple clamps. I am just kidding, I wont wear a mask.
